■(TB) 'Tropic Sun'

1970, Hamblen

'Tropic Sun' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1969). Seedling# H63-44A. TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Standards orange yellow (RHS 14B); falls same appearing deeper due to heavy substance; tangerine-orange beard. 'Royal Gold' X 'Glittering Amber' x ('Lura' x 'Frances Kent') x 'Coraband' sibling. Mission Bell 1970. High Commendation 1968; Honorable Mention 1971.
