From Fairmount Gardens catalog, 1942: TYRIAN BEAUTY (Gage 1940) M. The color effect of this lovely iris is a deep Tyrian rose self, overlaid and burnished at the haft of the falls with gleaming copper. The bronze gold beard adds to the depth of the color of this smoothly finished flower. The blooms have good substance and are evenly placed on well branched stalks. R. 86 1941. 35 in. $5.00
