'Very Very Good' (Paul Black, R. 2012) Seedling# R110I. TB, 30 (76 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards rose-purple center blended dark charcoal-purple margin; style arms mid charcoal-violet, violet ridge, butter-tan edges; falls red-grape center blended to darker margin, dark plum hafts; beards big, fully saturated orange; slight musky fragrance; small flowers. Seedling# 09C, 'Blushing' sibling X seedling# P92A: ('Lady of the Night' X 'Paul Black'). Mid-America 2013.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2013: VERY VERY GOOD (Black ‘13) TB Midseason-Late 30” (76cm). Who could resist these big flashy orange beards! Even though it has shorter stalks and moderate sized flowers, you still won’t be able to ignore it because of the beards. Perfectly proportioned stalks have 3 branches and 8-9 buds. Strong vigorous growth assures instant clumps. Nice fragrance. R110I: Blushing sib X (Lady of the Night x Paul Black. BONUS.
