Donald Spoon, R. 1999). Seedling# 90-162A. TB, height 34" (86 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Standards rose pink; style arms rose pink, tangerine infusions; falls rose pink, plum central spot with rose pink centerline, prominent white sunburst pattern around tangerine beard; ruffled, lightly laced; pronounced spicy fragrance.

From AIS Bulletin #316 January 2000 Introducing Yosemite Sam TB, 33" (84 cm), ML. Ruffled, lightly laced bitone with rose pink standards. Style arms with peach pink borders. Falls have deep reddish violet centers appearing like a SDB's "pumila-Iike" spot and wide rose pink borders and midlines. The showy tangerine beards have white sunburst patterns on each side like big "mustaches." Passes "pumilalike" spot to offspring. Fertile both ways. (Abigail Provides X Lorilee). $35.00. - TB 'Yosemite Sam' bloomed at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately June 5-14, in 2017. Three rhizomes bloomed this year, from a clump that looked like it had been divided in 2016. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 05 Oct 2017
