'Teucros' RC ( C. G. Van Tubergen by Aril Society International, R. 2000). AR, 18" (46 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards lilac pink, fine dark pink veining; Falls silvery white flushed pink, maroon signal, fine maroon veining; beards maroon black. I. korolkowii var. concolor X I. iberica. In commerce prior to 1950; Dutch variety registered with KAVB.

From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: This one stumped the Reference Librarians at two big Libraries. Teucer was the first king of Troy and Teucria means Trojan-that's as far as we got. The flower is very like Dardanus and since it has the same breeding it is more than likely a sister seedling. The standards are more on the pink tone however. One that is quite reliable-generally! Early bloom. 18". 75¢. |
