From Bay View Gardens catalog,1969: SWAMI. 26 inches, L. Lady Mohr first introduced us to those "kooky" colorings, and we have been enticed by them ever since. This border bearded iris is a unique coloring which is difficult to describe. The falls are a blend of blue, yellow, violet, and tan with burnt-gold shoulders and a brownish beard. The standards are also sort of burnt-gold with a tannish infusion. As we said, different is the only way to describe SWAMI. The flower size and rhizome size are in proportion to the height of the stalk. Nothing quite like this one. No. 63-139Z: (Wizard sib X (Pretty Quadroon x Frosted Starlight) ). $15.00 |
