Dr. Loomis Memorial Iris Trial Gardens

The Elmohr Iris Society (EIS) maintains the Dr. Loomis Memorial Iris Trial Gardens at the East Library and Information Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These are the only public, high-altitude trial gardens for iris and feature new hybrids from around the world. The EIS also holds an American Iris Society sanctioned iris show each June, and a community-wide rhizome sale each July. Regular meetings are held the first Saturday of March, April May and August (contact us for dates), at noon. Regular meetings are open to interested individuals as well as members and include lunch and a program about iris hybridization, cultivation or related topics.
