Hybridizers Robert Bauer and John Coble

The American Iris Society honored Robert Bauer and John Coble with the Hybridizer Award in 2007. Bauer and Coble won the Payne Medal for the best Japanese Iris introduction four times; for 'Bellender Blues' in 2000, 'Lion King' in 2003, 'Raspberry Candy' in 2008, and 'Lake Effect' in 2011.
