'Blazing Bonnet' (George Galer, R. 1971). Seedling M-67-9-2., R. SDB, height 12" (30 cm), Midseason late bloom. Standards blood red, only more plum-toned (closest to RHS 187C); Falls red (closest to RHS 187B), with black-red spot over most of Falls; lavender-tipped brown beard. B. Jones M-131-10 (( 'Red Rockette' x M-64: ( 'Daybreak' x pumila)) X 25M: ( 'Merry Maker' x ( 'Carpathia' x C-46)) x 'Velvet Caper'. Galer 1972. High Commendation 1971.
