'Caroliniana'(Sereno Watson, 1898. 1889. ). Series Laevigatae B; Blue self. Described by Watson as Iris carolinianain Proc. American Acad. 25: 134.1898; 134.1889; veining of clear blue lilac on an almost white ground and the yellow blotches confined to a distinct area; (form of Iris virginica L. with very dark stems, large flowers).
