Vinic; B1D; Color Class-B1D; Standards shorter, wine-red to purple except the yellow base to the claw, Falls claw; falls 8-9 cm. long, arching, the claw greenish- yellow veined yellow and green, blade spathulate, twice as long as claw, wine-red to purple, irregularly veined brownish-purple, midrib of claw extending into the blade as a dark red-purple band. As Iris ecristata Alex. In Bot. Int. Irid. Pl, Gulf States 337 N.Y. 1931. [Collected Louisiana Iris].
