'Korolkowii Polyploid Form'(Kew, ( 1979, unregistered) Kew Royal Botanical Gardens, 1979, unregistered) Section Regelia. Won an Award of Merit, May 21, 1979, as a plant for general garden use, with the following descripotion description in Proceedings of the Royal Horticultural Society, "On the specimen shown the stems were 31.7 cm (12 1/2 in.) long, unbranched, bearing rwo flowers per stem, standards 7.6 cm (3 in.) long, 4.4 cm (1 3/4 in.) wide, oval, domed, margins slightly frilled, tips bluntly pointed, very pale mauve, heavily veined with Grey-Purple Group 187A along midrib, with a tough of green, remainder of staindard very heavily veined dark purple, falls 5.1 cm (2 in.) long 3.2 (1 1/4 in.) wide, straight-hanging, broadly spathulate, margins smooth, cream, with a velvety, dark brown blotch under and at top of beard, and heavily veined with the same colour, less heavily on the blade of the falls. Style branches broad, semi-erect, rich chocolate brown; crest fairly large, revolute, cream with touches of brown, veined purple-brown; beard black, clawed. Shown by the Director, Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, Richmond, Surrey." A form of Iris korolkowii Regel
