'Shirasagi' (Clarence Mahan, R. 1992) SPEC (I. laevigata), 28" (71 cm). Midseason bloom. Falls (6) white with pale yellow ridges; style arms white, pronounced violet center; anthers white with violet spot just below filament; very slight fragrance. In commerce and widely grown in Japan; very similar (if not identical) to 'Yaguruma', which was introduced ca. 1910. Iris Pond 1993.
