(SPU) ■(SPU) 'Farewell Address'

2013, Ghio

'Farewell Address' ( Joseph Ghio by Jim Hedgecock, R. 2013) Seedling #99-265-A SPU, 39" (99 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards ruffled red-black; falls same, burnt gold splayed signal spreading over most of petal surfaces. 'Handsome Is' X 'Brownstone'. Comanche Acres 2013.

Joe picked the name because he says this will be the last spuria he ever introduces. It certainly is one of his best. The florets are ruffled red black with burnt gold splayed signals that cover most of the fall surfaces. Tall and stately stalks with good bud count round out Joe's creation. Comanche Acres 2013.
