"Lovely and regal as well as heavily decorated with lace, the elegance in this new iris is very evident. Both the standards and falls are a deep mulberry, but the falls have a blue flushed center fading to grape toward a border of deep mulberry. Unusual beards of a salmon shade top off the colorful array." [Cooleys Iris catalog for 1985]
