From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1956: HONEY AND SPICE (Tompkins 1956) M. L. 36 in. Sib. to Rendezvous x (Balmung x Tiffanja). A massive and well formed plicata with good substance and broad rounded petals. The ground color is pale cream with a complete lacquer-like overlay of honey yellow. The standards are stippled and flecked with Cinnamon pink at their tips and the falls have an all over peppering of rich Cinnamon that is slightly heavier around the edges. A bright orange, cinnamon tipped beard adds to its spicy richness. Stalks are strong and well branched. 2.00 |
