From Tell’s Gardens catalog, 1964: LALITHA MALLETTE (Phil Edinger '64) ML 38 in. (Aldura x New Hope) We may reproduce a picture of this gorgeous white plicata with its violet blue markings on both standards and falls which are precise and delicate and there are no markings or lines in the center of the falls which give it a very clean appearance. It is flared, ruffled and wide of parts, the standards are conic. Usually has three-way branching, but will, under ideal conditions of growth, grow to 50 inches in height and have 4 branches and up to 22 buds. In California where it was bred it will bloom several times during the year, but has not done so in Utah, yet grows perfectly healthy. Received an Exhibition Certificate in 1962. #34-59 A. $25.00 |
