"For those who seek the perfect pink and blue bicolor, LOVELY JAN will come the closest of anything available in reaching that goal. This is named in honor of the Hamblen's granddaughter Jan, and is a fitting tribute to a wellmannered and lovely young lady. In addition to the clean coloring, I found the branching to be a big asset for this one." [Ron Mullin, “An Iris Holiday.” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society #208(January 1973): 15.]
