From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1945: PERU Milliken. This is the largest tall blue iris which we have ever had. It is more than this however, for the little touch which gives it exceptional charm is a distinct yet not sharply outlined lighter border to the falls. Strange to say this border is not due to a difference in color but to a brighter lighting of this portion of the petal because of a slight flexing of the edge. The flower is beautifully formed and the weather resistance is excellent. 50 inches. $5.00; 3 for $12.50 |
