'Southern Glow' ( Thomas Washington, R. 1935). Midseason bloom. Color Class-S4M.
There are SOUTHERN GLOW %NRIMAGES{}%('Washington 1937) A beautiful and unusual blending of shimmering violet and pale yellow. S. are light ochre yellow, well domed and arched. F. have same yellow background overflushed with iridescent violet. Brilliant orange beard. The flowers have a pearly lustre and are nicely placed on well-branched stalks. This iris was given an award of Highly Commended by the A. I. S. at the Nashville Iris Show in 1937. 36 in. images. $20.00.
