Awaiting original catalog description |
From Robert Wayman, Best Twenty-five Irises", The Flower Grower, Oct 1925: 404.: "TROOST: "A very large rose colored flower with distinctive veining. The finest and largest of its type." |
From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: "TROOST (Denis). A magnificent variety. Standards deep rosy purple. Falls paler, veined violet, which changes to brown in the upper part. giving a distinctive appearance. It may be said that this is a greatly improved M. Aymard, deeper in colour, and unique on account of the brown shading of the haft." |
