This one is as deep blue as the mountains of Virginia, and as proud as the Squire himself! There is mid-season to late blooma bloom–a long period to view the many large blossoms, on well balanced stems. The flowers have blue beards, gold at the throat, and closed standards. Overall picture presents the smooth appearance of a southern gentleman. Parentage of this one is Bristol Gem X Style Master. It received 16 votes for an HC and won the regional seedling cup in 1972.
