BB, 27" (69 em). E, fertile both ways. An interesting self of apricot orange from pink amoena breeding. It has produced some nice pink amoena seedlings. This border iris is on the borderline of the TB class, and when pushed on fumigated soil, it may exceed the height limits. It has a slight pink tinge in the stds. and is slightly ruffled. Its early bloom and fresh color are a delight to bring in the iris season. $15.00. Cape Iris.
From Cape Iris catalog, 1980: MARMALADE SKIES (Niswonger '78) Sdlg.11-72: 92-69: (Java Dove x 24-66: ((8-62: (Happy Birthday x Glittering Amber) x Marilyn C)) X Sunset Snows. BB,27" ( 69 cm), Early, Fertile both ways, EC' 78, HM' 80. An interesting self of apricot orange from pink amoena breeding. It has produced some pink and apricot amoenas. It is on the borderline of a BB and TB (occasionally a late bloom from a side rhizome will shoot up above 27" especially if the plant has received good culture or on fumigated soil) but most of the time it is a border bearded variety. It has a slight pink tinge in the standards and is slightly ruffled. It's a good doer, it's earliness and fresh color is a delight to bring in the season. $7.50
