Hybridizer's Comments: In the hybridizers home garden (zone 6b, Maryland) 'Cricket Song' rebloomed in September/October in 2006, 2007 and 2008. As the clump has gained in size (to about basketball diameter, 2009 and 2010), it has started also blooming sporadically throughout the summer.. All of the bloom and rebloom is without any fertilizer or supplemental water. A stalk is opening flowers as I write this (2010, July 9) and we'd had no rain for about a month and temperatures on the high side for early July here) - in the 90s and 100s for the past week. Thomas Silvers - 2009-12-10. |
