From Quality Gardens catalog 1931: LE CORREGE (Vilm 1927) M. 46" V.F. Very large flowers. S. smoky bronze shot withlavender and suffused with red. F. large bright, dark velvety red, with a very prominent bright gold beard. A very much improved Ambassadeur, both as a show and garden flower. Le Corrège has none of the muddy landscape effect of Ambassadeur, but make a brilliant color group. $3.00. (Is this one genuine?) |
