SANTA BARBARA. Here we have an iris which approaches perfection in the shape and size of its flowers, and in addition is possibly the finest and clearest lavender-blue so far introduced. The exhibition rating of 91 is well deserved. Having been in commerce sufficiently long to become fairly plentiful. It can now be bought at the following surprisingly low prices: Each 50c ; three for 90c ; ten for $2.00 [Cooley's Wholesale pricelist, 1932]
Santa Barbara (Mohr). One of the finest of the pure lavender blues. The size, substance, spreading horizontal falls, well branched stalks and the vigor of growth entitle this beautiful iris to be rated with the highest. See color picture, page 19. Award of Merit, R. H. S. 40" . . ... . . 25c; 3 for 50c; 12 for $1.50 Salbach Catalog 1935
