'Amber Etching' OGB ( Doris Foster, R. 1965). Seedling 65-6-5. AB, 34" (86 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards amber, green influence; Falls amber, dotted mahogany brown; darker signal; amber styles streaked turquoise; bronze beard. ( 'Jallah Effendi' x 'Kalifa Baltis') X 'Beisan Aga'. Tell's Iris Gardens, 1966. Honorable Mention 1967.

From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1968: AMBER ETCHING (D. Foster '66) A tan to amber brown effect is created by amber dotting and veining over a paler amber ground .The veining is distinct enough to give an "aril look" to the flower. Branched stem. HM '67. $10.00
