From Tell's Iris Garden catalog, 1948: ANITA CATHERINE (S. C. Clarke) (Purissima x Mohrson) Large waved, very pale blue self with bluer styles. Beard blue-tipped Cadmium yellow. Typical pallida stem. Should be a wonderful parent. Altogether a lovely iris. Each $15.00.

(Purissima X Mohrson)The large flowers are of a blue-white but unfortunately show little evidence of the exotic background-indeed but one eighth Onco is present in their makeup. It sets seed however, and has given its originator 'Gold Smoke'. $1.50

AIS Color Class: WI (white self with blue undertones). Court of Iris: "The large blue-white flowers show little evidence of its exotic background." Vallette: "large cool white,TB type. "No information on introduction found in AIS Checklists. Notes: At least 1/8 onco, could be more as Mohrson's pedigree is incomplete; disenrolled when the quantum requirement was adopted.
