From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1948: A very rich deep violet self, napthalene violet, shaded with dark napthalene violet (Ridgway ), with pronounced oncocyclus characteristics. The flowers are round, about 5-1/2 inches in diameter, of excellent substance. The stalks have three branches, each branch having two buds. A very fine flower for cutting as well as for the garden. 3 feet. $10.00 |
From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: BALTIS (White '48) M 36" (Unknown). The deep rich violet blooms show a pronounced Onco type and the good branching habit make this a desirable subject for both the garden and cutting. H.M. '48. $1.50 |
