'Bangladesh' OGB (Les Peterson, R. 1972). Seedling LP 71-17A. AB, 25" (64 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards deep blue, veined deeper; Falls darker blackish blue with medium pink overcast; deep brown beard. 'Esther, The Queen' X 'Tuesday Song'. Peterson, 1972. Honorable Mention 1973; White Award 1977.

From AIS Bulletin #206 July 1972 Introducing BANGLADESH (Peterson). AR. 26". M. An arilbred of distinction from Esther the Queen X Tuesday Song. Standards deep blue, prominently veined deeper; falls darker blackish-blue with medium pink overlay. Flower form large and typical of type. Substance, texture excellent. Bud count and branching GOOD. Named after new nation born from recent India-Pakistan conflict. Net. $20.00. Les peterson.
