'Egyptian Queen' OGB-/ABM (Thomas Johnson, R. 2007). Seedling #TU289C. AB, 20" (51 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards medium lilac, rosy copper midribs, fine network of veins overall; style arms tan copper, large; falls rose copper blending to tan copper; muted gold hafts; velvety black cherry signals; beards bright yellow, slight fragrance. 'Hot Jazz' X 'Onlooker'. Sibling to 'Octave'. Mid-America Garden, 2007. Honorable Mention 2009; Award of Merit 2011; Mohr Medal 2013.

From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2007: EGYPTIAN QUEEN - ABM, 20" (51 cm), Midseason. Very round "onco" looking standards are medium lilacwith rosy copper midribs and fine network of veins overall. Large tan-copper styles peer from between them. Colorful falls are rose-copper blended to tan-copper with muted gold hafts. Bright yellow beards terminate in rich, velvety black-cherry signals. EGYPTIAN QUEEN has one branch and three buds produced by healthy, vigorous growth. Very Nice! Sdlg. TU289C: Hot Jazz X Onlooker ibc $25.00.
