'Esther's Son' OGB (Eugene Hunt, R. 1972). Seedling ORB 70-1. AB, 30" (76 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards rose; Falls darker rose; gray purple spot with darker beard. (('Imam Ahmid' x 'Kalifa Gulnare') X 'Esther, The Queen'). Hunt, 1975. Honorable Mention 1976.

From AIS Bulletin #218 July 1975 Introducing ESTHER'S SON (Hunt, R. 1972). Sdlg. ORB 70-2. AR, 26", E-M. (Wilkes MGIO X Esther the Queen). Color ranges in tones of the red-purple group with a rose overlay, making it more rose than purple. Falls are similar in color, but has deeper tones of rose. The spots on the falls are maroon. Rampant grower. $20.00. Hunt's Iris Gardens.
