From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: FALLEN LEAF (Williamson '31) E 15" (Korolkowi X Dwarf Bearded). This novel Iris has narrow pointed flowers after the manner of its Regelia parent. The standards are reddish wine deepening into claret-maroon in the falls which have an almost black signal set with a bronze beard. $1.25.

DMB, low height, early. I. korolkowii X DB. AIS Color Class: S9M (red squalens with bitone pattern). '76 CL: Pink to red-toned bitone, feathered, medium. Rainbow: "Pointed regelia-like flowers with long, narrow falls. Standards reddish-wine; falls claret-maroon, becoming almost black around the decorative golden-bronze beard." Vallette: "slender twisty dark maroon." Williamson & Gersdorff, 1931. Notes: Counted as a 31-chromosome triploid, an RB in the quantum system, an RB- in the chromosome-set system.
