AIS Color Class: Y3M (yellow standards, blue-toned falls). '76 CL: Silvery grey flushed greenish yellow; lavender flush at center of F. From Muhlestein catalog 1951: Green Mohr has the same form as Lady Mohr. The color is a strong green-chartreuse. The Falls have a flush of lavender below the beard when it first opens, but this fades after the first day. The green color is especially noticeable in bud and when first open; the color pales after the first day. Somewhat fertile pod parent. Exhibition Certificate 1950.

From Mrs. Ed Conrad (Idaho): Tell's Green Mohr was in bloom and if hardy enough everywhere will probably cause a sensation when widely distributed. Personally, I care little for a green flower, but it caused quite a flurry at the iris show in Salt Lake City, receiving the cup as best seedling in the show. "Way Beyond the Hills of Idaho”--The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 121, (April 1951): 36.
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963 GREEN MOHR (Muhlestein '51) ML-40". An appealing color. A silvery grey flushed with greenish yellow. Lavender flush center of falls. An extra large flower of full Mohr form, with definite Onco characteristics. Buds strongly olive green indicating large amount of green in make-up. Should be crossed with best of greenish Tall Bearded. Will set seed, has plentiful pollen. HC'50; HM'52. William Mohr X Chosen. See life-like photo, page 37. Regularly $1.50; on $10 order $1.35; on $25 order $1.20.
