1986, Boswell

'Jewel Of Omar' OB-/ABM (Carl Boswell, R. 1986). Seedling 181-75-1. AB (OB-), 18" (46 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards medium blue, purple at base; greenish yellow styles; falls medium lime yellow, maroon brown around violet beard. ('Gingerbread Man' x I. balkana) X 'Welcome Reward'. Adamgrove, Boswell Iris 1986. Exhibition Certificate 1984; Favorite Guest 1987; Honorable Mention 1989; Mohr Award 1991; Mohr Medal 1993.

From AIS Bulletin #261 April 1986 Introducing JEWEL OF OMAR-18", Seedling 181-75-1. Has an air of the Mystic East. Medium blue with purple at the base of the standards. Medium limeyellow falls with maroon-brown around violet beards, set off by greenish yellow styles. EC '84. $15.00. Boswell Iris Garden.
