1966, Rich 'Kelita Jethro' OB (Rex Rich, R. 1966). Seedling OLB-62-1E. AB-MED, 9” (23 cm). Early bloom. Standards deep red violet; Falls deep mahogany red; dark signal. Austin O-Y-164 X 'Pogo'. Melrose Gardens, 1968. Honorable Mention 1970. Also listed in Sdb web: 'Kelita Jethro'. See below:

| From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1968: KELITA JETHRO (Jonnye Rich '68) 10" (Austin OY164: I. urimesis derivative X Pogo). An addition to the "Kelita" series (see Arilmed listing for more of them) this one a little slower of increase but just as good a grower if conditions are right. Domed standards are fuchsia violet, wide recurving falls are maroon with blending of buff along the edges and dark maroon signal areas below the yellow beards. $5.00 |
