'Lilac Spread' OGB- (Les Peterson, R. 1976). Seedling LP 74-8A. AB (1/4), 20" (51 cm). Midseason bloom. Rich lilac lavender self; medium bronze beard. 'Sir Gordon' X LP 714A: ('Esther, The Queen x ('Snow Flurry' x 'Asoka Of Nepal')). Peterson, 1977. Honorable Mention 1978.

From AIS Bulletin #224 Winter 1977 Introducing LILAC SPREAD. AB, 20" (51 em), EM. Rich lavender-blue self with beard of medium bronze. Standards large, domed and full; falls large, round and flaring horizontally, giving a uniquely contrasting aril appearance pleasing to the eye. A definitely appealing aril-bred. Also being used in quest of a blue. Sir Gordon x sib to Arab Dusk. $20.00. Les Peterson.
