'Lilli-Hoog' RB (Bee Warburton, R. 1960). Seedling C-306. AB, 18” (46 cm). Early midseason bloom. Blue self; yellow beard. ( 'Azure Skies' x ( 'April Morn' x I. pumila )) X 'Blue Joy'. Warburton, 1961. High Commendation 1961; Honorable Mention 1962.

| From Melrose Gardens catalog 1968: LILLIHOOG (Warburton). SDB size with colorand shape of its parent, I. hoogiana. It has been said in print that this one does not have aril characteristics. Whoever said it must not have seen I. hoogiona. The flower of this iris is almost identical to some selections of that species. So I. hoogiana ISN'T much, still you can't say IT doesn't have the "Aril Look"! 1.00. |
