From Tell's Iris Garden catalog, 1951: LITTLE LAKE (Muhlestein). Early-Midseason. (J.Sass' L hoogiana sdg. x Chivalry.) Small, true border iris somewhat reminiscent of Billet Doux. Quite blue with deeper shadings at the hafts. Sets some seed. Should be useful to bring in new blood, and perhaps "bluer" lines through hoogiana. 20 inches. No. 48-1. $5.00
From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: LITTLE LAKE (Muhlestein '51) EE 20" (J. Sass hoogiana Seedling X Chivalry). A small jaunty Iris with flaring falls. Tell says this is true blue and fertile both ways. $1.50
