From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: MOLASSES (White-Lothrop '44) M 33' ((Theme X Sacramento) X (Pink Jadu X Susiana) x (Dauntless X Mirasol) X (hauransis).) The quite involved pedigree reveals two oncocyclus species in the makeup of this quite red Onco-bred - susiana and hauranensis. The soft bronze-red standards are closed over velvety flaring falls of a rich dark scarlet. The pollen is plentiful generally and it will set seed. $2.00.

((Theme x Sacramento) x (Pink Jadu x I susiana)) X ((Dauntless Mirasol) x I. hauranensis). AIS Color Class: S4M (medium yellow-toned squalens). No description in the '76 Checklist. Court of Iris: "Soft bronze-red standards are closed over velvety flaring falls of a rich, dark scarlet." Valette: "bronzy-red self, darker F." No information on introduction found in AIS Checklists.
