■ (AB) 'Pink Marble'

1955, Austin

'Pink Marble' OB- (Lloyd Austin, R. 1955). Seedling OB-32B. IB Hybr. , 24” (61 cm), Early bloom. Orchid rose self. 'Chérie' X 'Capitola'. Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens, 1955. It has creamy white variegations in leaves that are not noted in official registration.

From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1965: PINK MARBLE (Austin'55) E-24". White marbling in green leaves is a curious, decorative, phe-nomenon giving an appearance quite distinct from striping in leaves of Zebra. A bright orchid-rose self, full, rounded, with broad petals, stiffly arched standards. Rhizomes naturally small. Cherie X Capitola. Regularly $1.50; on $10 order $1.25; on $25 order $1.05.
