'Point Well Taken' OGB (Sharon McAllister, R. 1998) Seedling 90-3-19 AB 28" (71 cm) Midseason bloom. Standards pinkish ivory ground lightly veined golden yellow; style arms soft yellow; Falls golden tan ground, heavily stippled rust around mustard brown beard, faint rust wash, brownish black signal. 'Sandy Dandy' x 'Whirlwind Romance'. McAllister's Iris Gardens 1998

From AIS Bulletin #309 April 1998 Introducing POINT WELL TAKEN (McAllister, 1998) Seedling 90-3-19. Pinkish-ivory standards are lightly veined golden yellow. Golden tan falls are heavily stippled with rust around the beard, giving the appearance of an intricate needlepoint-inlay, and a faint rust wash extends outward over the blade from a dime-size brownish-black signal. A fully fertile l/2-bred (OGB) from Sandy Dandy X Whirlwind Romance. $35.00. McAllister's Iris Garden.
