'Pomo Chief' OGB- (Mary Ellen Knopf, R. 1964). Seedling 61-1-E. AB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards greenish cream; Falls greenish tan, purple veins; brown beard. 'New Hope' X 'Jallah Effendi'. Tell's Iris Garden, 1965. Honorable Mention 1966.

| From Knopf Iris Gardens catalog,1965: POMO CHIEF: Seedling No. 61-1-E Arilbred 36". Midseason. New Hope x Jallah Effendi. This is one of the easy to grow arilbreds. Greenish cream standards, well domed and frilled, tan green falls. Very wide and full with purple veining. Brown beard. The overall flower is slightly flecked almost a plic. Tall well branched with heavy substance. $15.00 |
