From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing SCENTED OPALS-TB, 32", EM. Seedling D-77-l. The name was given to this iris because of its strong fragrance. It has from five to seven blooms, which are well spaced. Terminal and two side branches. A fast grower and increaser like its sister seedling, Lawrence Welk, but a better formed flower with a darker blue beard. It has a slight blue cast when viewed closely, but from a distance it appears pure white. Plenty of pollen. Winter Olympics X Genetic Burst. $35.00. |
