From Melrose Gardens catalog 1976: SHEIK (Hager '76) EM 36" Seedling AR 2837: Turkish Tracery X Welcome Reward. Perhaps our hero will have "an irresistabie fascination in the eyes of romantic young women," as Webster would have it, but his hope is for a more universal recognition, for which campaign he has gotten himself up in some of the most fantanstic "duds" imaginable. Much brighter than the color range of the average ariibred, the upper half of his enrobement is aluminous fuchsia violet, pinstriped in deeper tones. Falling away from the confined waist the robes billow out full and wide in a bold reddish russet. Gilt areas around the bronzed beards are distinctly embroidered and there are dark, near black areas at the tips of the beards. One of the most vigorous and healthy arilbreds we have grown. Could it be that his wish for a wider fanship than his desert clans can furnish will be gratified? NET 25.00. |
