From Foster Iris catalog, 1975: SILKEN BLEND (Foster) E-M. 33". Best described as a cream and green amoena. Ruffled wide standards are a delectable blend of cream, turquoise, violet and gold, veined green - sometimes edged pale blue-violet. Fringed style crests are gold striped green. Broad slightly recurved falls are a rich yellow with irridescent overlay of blue-green. Maroon vertical line signal. Matching dotting of maroon around dark old gold beard. Different. #74-5-7. Seedlings 67-2-2 X 66-28-4, involving Beisen Aga, Imaret, Bethlehem Star and Wilkes' GM8 X MG8. $20 |
