'Sir Gordon' OB- (Flora McGee, R. 1962). Seedling A 59-60. AB, 34" (86 cm). Midseason bloom. Lavender blue self; blue-tipped beard. 'Jane Phillips' X 'Capitola'. Tell's Iris Garden, 1964. Honorable Mention 1965.

From Tell’s Gardens catalog, 1964: SIR GORDON (Flora McGee '64) EM 34 in. (Jane Phillips x Capitola) Lavender-blue or Wisteria self with bluish beard. Domed standards wide, round, perfect horizontally flared, slightly ruffled falls. A classic beauty and sheer perfection. Pods rather easily. Branching only modest, as with many Capitola derivatives yet it is stunning. A large flower. Sister seedling to Trisha. $25.00
