Perry in Gardeners Chronicle, p.274, 1909 notes: "Iris hybrida Sir Trevor Lawrence (I. pallida dalmatica x I. iberica). The standards and falls are coloured a rather deep rose-mauve shade, the former being heavily pencilled to the outer edges of the flower, and the latter heavily and profusely veined about the base. This and the preceding kind are both handsome, and were raised by the late Professor Foster of Cambridge. From Mr. Amos Perry, Hardy Plant Farm, Enfield." received an award of merit from the Royal Horticultural Society 1909. |
