From The Court Of Iris catalog, 1955: A mortal maiden who lost her life in leading a warrior band against the Trojans. The standards are a deep bluish purple while the falls are off-white with dense veinings of deep purple. Early bloom. 12". 75¢. |

Parentage unknown. AIS Color Class: BS (blue ground with red feathering). '76 CL: Blue and red bitone blend. Rainbow: "VE-11 ". Small flower of exceptionally brilliant purple, with a prominent blackish signal. Style arms nearly red, sharply contrasting." Vallette:"small, velvety violet-blue S.; gray F., veined brown-purple." Van Tubergen, 1923. Notes: Classified by the '76 committee as an RC in the quantum system; counted as a 31-chromosome triploid, which would make it an OG in the chromosome-set system; ASI Yearbooks ('59, p. 47 and '62, p. 68) give the pedigree as I korolkowii X I paradoxa.
