Rainbow: "Standards bright pinkish mulberry, flushed white in center with darker veins. Falls deeper, pinkish purple, veined darker. Beard narrow, purple at end changing to white inside." Vallette: "bright pinkish mulberry bitone, veined darker; longer, narrower flowers with vivid blue beards." Van Tubergen, Grullemans, Lisse, Holland, before 1907.
